Join Our Team as a Credit Controller
Are you ready to advance your career with a globally recognised company? We are looking for an ambitious and meticulous Credit Controller to join our Insurer Broker Accounting department in Glasgow. How you'll make an impact
Manage company debt in alignment with policy and process to achieve departmental key performance targets.
Chase outstanding premiums from clients as per the Company Procedure (Direct Client and Business to Business).
Produce and issue regular Statement of Accounts for clients.
Record and maintain Client and Business records in line with Company Procedures.
Bring up any issues with your designated collaborators to your Team Leader within reasonable timescales.
Coordinate financial accounts of external collaborators, leading all aspects of reconciliation and settlement of debtor and creditor ledger balances.
Assist Cash Postings with the resolution of unallocated cash, providing constructive feedback on issues which have resulted in mis-postings.
Support the business with any queries they have with the collection process, offering assistance where required.
Hold regular forums with both internal and external collaborators to promptly address and resolve any issues as they arise.
Update Business on branch premiums and deliver monthly debtors report to allocated Business Units.
Handle and process payment requests, including production of payment request packages in line with Gallagher policy.
Facilitate training and support for less experienced members of the team.
Align with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role with specific attention, but not limited to Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly.
Adhere to policies, laws, and values to ensure client-centric service delivery at Gallagher.
Perform ad hoc duties as required.
About You
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, global financial services organisation.
Strong Business to Business Credit Control experience.
Customer/client experience is essential.
Knowledge of insurance products is advantageous but not essential.
Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including lookups & pivots), Word, and Outlook.Ability to deal with large volumes of data and complete large, complex reconciliations on client accounts.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
Empathetic awareness.
Ability to deal with challenging customers and clients (conflict management).
Analytical problem-solving approach.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload, and plan ahead.
Experience of operating to strict deadlines.
