The Finance function operates at the heart of Rapha as a multi-functional, business facing department. Rapha is dynamic and we are looking for an individual who is happy to get into the detail to support the business and continue our growth as a world class omni-channel retailer.

THE ROLE




We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join our established finance department. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of finance; ensuring timely collection of customer payments, managing credit risk across our customer portfolio, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable data to ultimately ensure that accurate and timely financial information can be reported to the Board and key business stakeholders.



You will have proven experience managing accounts receivable in a multi-currency environment, ideally with exposure to large wholesale accounts. Working closely with our sales teams globally, you will be responsible for credit management, collections, and maintaining strong financial controls across our customer portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Credit Control and Collections



Proactive management of aged debt across all regions and currencies Regular contact with customers via phone, email and letters to secure payment Negotiation of payment plans and resolution of disputed invoices Escalation of overdue accounts and recommendation of appropriate actions Preparation of regular reports on debtor positions and cash collection forecasts Review and approval of customer discounts in line with company policies

Credit Risk Management



Assessment and review of credit limits for new and existing customers Implementation and maintenance of credit policies and procedures Regular review of customer payment performance and credit worthiness Working with sales teams to balance commercial opportunities with credit risk

Customer Account Management



Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts Resolution of customer queries relating to invoices, statements and payments Posting and allocation of customer receipts Management of customer account reconciliations Review of settlement discounts and early payment terms Supporting month-end close with AR reporting and analysis Liaison with wholesale and retail teams on credit matters

Reporting and Analysis



Weekly aged debt analysis and commentary Maintain and circulate weekly cash receipts report to management and wholesale team Monthly DSO reporting and trend analysis Bad debt provision calculations and recommendations Cash flow forecasting inputs Board reporting on credit risk and collections performance

Process Improvement



Identification and implementation of process improvements Supporting ERP system developments for credit management

THE CANDIDATE




The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:

3-5 years' experience in credit control, ideally within retail/wholesale environment Proven track record managing large accounts and complex credit situations Experience working in a multi-currency environment essential Strong IT literacy with excellent MS Office skills and experience working with ERP systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence people at all levels both internally and externally Experience working in a multicurrency environment Experience within retail/ecommerce desirable Reliable, self-disciplined, speed, and accuracy are essential. Excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines Strong attention to detail Initiative and can-do attitude An interest in cycling and the business culture is an advantage
