As a Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You will utilize your expertise in accounting principles and financial management to support our mission while contributing to the overall success of our team.
What you'll do
Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights into cash flow and credit risk
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance cash management processes
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
Conduct account analysis and forecasting to identify trends and improve collection strategies
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management
Support budgeting processes and assist in payroll management as needed
Basic qualifications
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double entry bookkeeping and debits & credits
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in financial report writing
Preferred qualifications
Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus
Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices
Proven track record in cash management and account reconciliation
