Role Overview




In this role, you'll play a key part in helping to drive the success of credit control and the wider finance operations department. The primary responsibilities of this role are to build solid, and long-lasting relationships with our clients, to enable you to proactively collect payments that are due to Clarity.

We would love it if you had prior experience of credit control, have worked in a similar role, or have transferrable skills and experience that make you an ideal candidate.

It would also be fantastic if you are used to working in a fast paced environment, love a great challenge and you're eager to manage the full transaction journey from invoice raised to cash allocation.


Accountabilities and Main Deliverables




Proactively chasing clients by phone and email to ensure they adhere to our terms, and we receive payments when they are due, this may also include courtesy calls, to ensure all is well, and the client has no unresolved queries or disputes prior to the invoice due date Responsible for managing a significant client debtor portfolio in both volume and value Escalating any risks or significant queries / issues to the Credit Control Team Leader, with suggestions for further action Analysing and reconciling large volumes of data to understand which transactions are in query or overdue Documenting any queries within the system and maintaining the progression of those queries Building strong relationships and improving interactions with customers to strengthen key relationships Building strong relationships with colleagues in credit control and across the wider finance team Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure issues are dealt with appropriately and efficiently Adhere to the organisation's policy and procedures on information security and take whatever actions are required to safeguard data and assets Bringing ideas and suggestions to the attention of the Credit Control Team Leader, to improve processes / procedures, including system enhancements and any changes to routine that will benefit the team Additional Duties as required

Essential Skills




Sound understanding of credit management or the ability to absorb information and adapt quickly Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Ability to self-motivate and have a flexible approach to work Have experience of using Microsoft applications (particularly excel) and other back-office systems. Can work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives * Can think logically, consider all relevant aspects, and carry out basic analysis on information
