Role Description



We have a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join our team in Northampton, covering debt collections. You will have you own ledger which will allow you to build relationships with your customers and the sales team. The role will allow you to complete the end-to-end process of opening an account and working with our branches and sales teams to ensure full customer service. Your primary aim will be to facilitate strong cash flow via timely connections.

Responsibilities:



Maintain and build relationships with customers to ensure collection objectives are met. Deal with customer queries to resolution Liaise with internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of queries Monitor customer accounts and collect debts via telephone, email and letter communications Prepare reports to highlight issues (e.g. over trading, accounts at risk) to management Escalate issues as appropriate to the Divisional Credit Manager Act as local point of contact for all matters relating to collections and credit management. Carry out other duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role
Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm Mon-Fri (4 days in office, 1 day from home)

Holiday: 23 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Salary: 28,000 per annum, negotiable according to experience

Previous experience in Credit Control Hands-on and willing to roll up sleeves Demonstrable stakeholder management skills Management of a varied workload within a fast-paced environment Solid communication skills and decision-making skills Deep understanding of business principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
