Position Details



Job Purpose:

To ensure the timely raising and distribution of invoices and collection of funds of optimise cash flow, prompt resolution of queries and daily cash posting & allocation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete invoicing and cash collection for an allocated portfolio of customers. Posting cash, allocating and reconciling customer ledgers to ensure accuracy of aged debt. Resolution of purchase order and invoicing queries, liaising with Account Managers and the wider business to ensure timely resolution and proactive management of debt. Liaising with the IT department to ensure prompt distribution of invoices to customers. Manage aged debt for allocated customers and escalate any issues to the Senior Credit Controller and Financial Accountant. New customer account openings as required, following correct procedure. Ensure customer portals are up to date. Raising manual credit notes upon request. Attend annual company training and refresher courses. Chasing of debt via telephone and email. Any other additional duties that may be deemed necessary in the fulfilment of the role. Awareness of company's ISO 19001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations, objectives, and requirements. Attend annual company training and refresher courses. Any additional task or duties requested by management.

Qualifications



Formal Education:

AAT Level 2 desirable but not essential. See minimum educational requirements.
Licences, Accreditations or Memberships:

ACCA or ICAEW Membership or Accreditation desirable but not essential.
Experience Required:

2+ years' experience in a previous similar role is required. Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective team member. Numerate, accurate with the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritise and manage workloads. Strong organisation and administration skills with good attention to detail. Initiative-taking and flexible with the ability to work in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills at all levels both written and verbal. Good computer literacy, with working knowledge of Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook. Confident telephone manner is essential. Experience in dealing with suppliers and managing expectations.
Minimum Education Requirements:

GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/4 Good level of spoken and written English Knowledge and command of European languages is beneficial
