Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Credit Controller to join our Finance Team at Freeman Catering Butchers. We are a busy business with open plan office, so a can-do attitude is essential. Our finance team consists of 3 and you will report directly to Office Manager

Please note this is a temporary role up to Christmas 2025

Collection of outstanding invoices by phone, e-mail, and letter Management of approximately 900 live customer accounts High volume calls and emails to collect payments Working as part of the team to ensure debtor days are reduced Dealing with and resolving complex customers queries Account reconciliation where disputes arise Uploading invoices via CSV to multiple complex businesses Credit checking new and existing customers Producing Month End reports on bad debts Ad-hoc duties as and when required

The Successful Applicant

Essential skills and experience;

Previous credit control experience on this volume must have knowledge of Sage Line 50 Accounts Excellent customer service skills and approach Strong problem-solving skills Ability to organise own workload and meet demanding deadlines and targets Thrives in a busy environment and handles stressful situations calmly and professionally. Excellent time management and strong organisational skills - Need to be able to accommodate multiple tasks Excellent telephone manner to liaise with colleagues and customers at all levels confidently and effectively Strong interpersonal skills and adaptable approach

Negotiable salary depending on experience Negotiable part-time hours, we are happy to work with your schedule - our office hours are Mon-Fri 8am-2pm 20 days Holiday (Pro-Rata)
