About Us

MFS Global is a growing wholesale food supplier providing fresh meat, frozen, dairy, and grocery products to hospitality and foodservice customers. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented and confident Credit Controller to support our finance operations.

The Role

The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This role is ideal for someone experienced in B2B credit control, particularly within wholesale, foodservice, or fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a ledger of B2B customer accounts Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts Setting up new customer accounts and performing credit checks Monitoring credit limits and placing accounts on stop when required Resolving invoice queries and disputes efficiently Producing aged debtor reports for management Working closely with sales, operations, and management teams Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Requirements

Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role (essential) Experience with B2B customers Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Good IT skills (Excel and accounting systems) Professional and firm but fair approach to credit control
Desirable (but not essential)

Experience within wholesale, foodservice, or FMCG Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar AAT qualification or working towards one
