Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller/ bookkeeper /analysing finances job costing also profit margins to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining healthy client relationships. Duties



Monitor and manage the company's accounts receivable ledger to ensure prompt collection of outstanding debts. Contact clients via phone, email, or letter to follow up on overdue invoices and negotiate payment arrangements where necessary. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection activities. Reconcile accounts using recognised accounting software such as , Sage, 50 or Xero. Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes efficiently. Prepare regular reports on debt status, ageing analysis, and collection progress for management review. Assist with processing accounts payable transactions as required, ensuring compliance with company policies. Support month-end closing procedures related to credit control activities.

Experience



Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable within a similar environment. Proficiency in accounting software such as, Sage, or Xero is essential. Familiarity with other accounting tools and systems is advantageous. Experience handling accounts payable processes is desirable but not mandatory. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to client interactions. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping are critical for success in this role.
