The Role and Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Credit Hire Case Manager/Paralegal with NewLaw Scotland will involve:
Managing your own caseload of Credit Hire matters and uninsured loss recovery involving complex issues of liability, quantum, and credit hire.
Raising Credit Hire and ULR cases at Ordinary Cause and Simple Procedure level.
Maintaining files in accordance with the file maintenance policy.
Using the Case Management System effectively in accordance with agreed procedures to ensure cases are proactively managed.
Achieving set KPIs in terms of income generation, settled cases and litigation rates.
Key Attributes
You will have a strong background and understanding of Credit Hire or road traffic disputes from either an insurer or solicitor environment.
You possess an in-depth knowledge of Credit Hire law and RTA liability disputes. Experience of Simple Procedure and Ordinary Cause court actions would be beneficial but is not necessary.
A willingness to keep up to date with legal developments in these areas, together with the ability to work to deadlines and income targets.
A strong focus on client care, good interpersonal skills, and sound negotiation
