Job Description

Cricketqube is a social enterprise based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and we deliver inclusive and accessible cricket sessions across the North East. We offer our sessions at schools, care homes, and community centres, focusing primarily on older adults (50+), and deliver accessible cricket sessions across the North East at various community centres and care homes.

We are a non-profit organisation that aims to help people feel happy and healthy through our engaging, accessible cricket sessions.

Job Title: Cricket Activator



Location: Sunderland & wider North East



Job Type: Part-time, Contract



Hours: 6-8/week



Contract Length: Six months



Responsibilities



Cricket Activation

Plan, organise, and deliver cricket sessions for children, families, and older adults at care homes and community centres. Adapt cricket activities to cater to different abilities and needs, ensuring an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all participants. Create a safe and inclusive environment for people to participate in physical activity. Provide guidance and support to participants during sessions. Maintain accurate records of sessions and evaluate the success of the activities delivered. Liaise with care home staff, community centre managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the cricket sessions.

Requirements (Necessary)



Based in Sunderland or South Tyneside as that'd be the focus area for our sessions. Experience in delivering physical activity sessions at any settings. A valid UK driving license and access to a car. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Interest in cricket. Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and ability to adapt activities to cater for different abilities and needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for physical activity and promoting the benefits of exercise to older people, and a mentality to help people. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

Requirements (Desired)



Experience in delivering physical activity sessions to older people, preferably in a care home or community centre setting. Previous cricket coaching experience.
