Job title: Crime and Dispute Resolution Solicitor
Location: Primarily Remote with occasional travel to Reading
Salary: 45,000-60,000
PQE Level: 2+ PQE
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time
A leading railway operator with a strong presence across the Southeast and Southwest is seeking a solicitor with solid experience in regulatory or criminal law to join their legal team on a six-month contract. This is a rare opportunity to step into a corporate-facing role while continuing to engage your courtroom expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the company in Magistrates' Court proceedings (typically three times a month), including presenting, reading, and managing cases
• Advise on fraud, bylaw enforcement, and wider regulatory matters
• Collaborate with in-house legal and operational teams to deliver strategic legal support
• Contribute to the development of internal legal processes and compliance frameworks

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor with strong criminal or regulatory law experience
• Confident advocate with Magistrates' Court exposure
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Interest in transitioning from police or crime-focused roles into a corporate/regulatory setting
