Phillips Solicitors is a friendly, well?established high street firm based in Mansfield, with additional offices in Nottingham and Shirebrook. We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our Criminal Defence Department. This role will be primarily based at our Mansfield office.

You will work closely with our Solicitors, supporting them with a varied and fast?paced caseload. The role includes attending local police stations and the Crown Court, as well as participating in our on?call rota.

Police Station Accreditation is preferred but

not essential

, as full training will be provided. Experience managing your own Crown Court caseload is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assisting Solicitors with case preparation and file management Attending police stations and the Crown Court Supporting a varied criminal defence caseload Participating in the department's on?call rota Managing elements of your own caseload (desirable)

Requirements

Law degree or relevant legal training (preferred) Minimum 1 year of Criminal Defence experience (required) Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a supportive team Willingness to undertake Police Station Accreditation training if not already accredited
