We are now seeking an experienced Criminal Law Solicitor to join our growing team and contribute to our continued success.
The Role
As a Criminal Law Solicitor, you will handle a varied caseload of criminal matters from start to finish, including police station attendances, magistrates' and crown court cases, and client advisory work.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing your own caseload of criminal defence matters.
Providing expert legal advice and representation to clients.
Preparing cases and conducting advocacy where appropriate.
Attending police stations, interviews, and court hearings.
Working closely with colleagues and external counsel to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Maintaining high professional and ethical standards at all times.
Essential requirements:
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with current practising certificate.
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in criminal defence.
Police Station Accreditation.
Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and client care abilities.
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and efficiently.
Desirable:
Duty Solicitor status.
Experience with Legal Aid work and case management systems.
Interest in contributing to firm growth and mentoring junior staff.
