Job Responsibilities:
Manage a small personal caseload of Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claims
Provide oversight to ensure that assistants maintain accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of client care
Respond to more complex queries and escalate matters where appropriate
Support the professional development of junior staff through training, feedback, and regular check-ins
Conduct regular file reviews to maintain quality assurance across the wider team
Maintain accurate records in our case management system and monitor case progression timelines
Stay informed of relevant legal developments and procedural updates within the criminal injuries sector
Qualifications and Skills:
A background in law, criminal justice, or legal services (degree preferred but not essential with relevant experience)
Prior experience handling CICA claims or similar personal injury matters
Proven ability to lead, coach, or supervise others in a legal or claims-handling environment
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A methodical, detail-focused approach to casework and supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Empathetic, professional manner when interacting with clients and colleagues
Competent using case management systems and Microsoft Office tools
