Job Description

The St George's Hospital critical care team is looking to hire a part time team member to join the team in providing assistance to the paediatric, neonatal and all the adult critical care units as well as the emergency department.
The post holder will be joining an enthusiastic and proactive team of 8 technologists as part of the Clinical Engineering Section and will be based in the intensive care units.
Working hours are 15 hours per week.
The post holder must be able to work in a pressurised environment responding quickly to the requests for technical assistance.
Main duties of the job
The post holder has responsibility for providing technical support on medical equipment for the Critical Care Units and ED and be involved in quality improvement programs as well as teaching clinical staff on how to optimally use equipment.

• GCSE in maths and english at grade 6 or above
• Higher education qualification in a technical subject

• Bachelor degree at grade 2:1 or above
• registration with Society of critical care technologists or IPEM or equivalent

• Experience of providing support and advice in the application of technology

• Experience of working in a critical care environment
