ABOUT THE SUBSCRIPTIONS STUDIO




The Subscriptions Studio drives all subscriptions activity for DC Thomson and is responsible for the growth of revenue and profit from print and digital subscriptions. Within the Subscriptions Studio this role sits in the CRM function of the Marketing Team, reporting to the CRM Marketing Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE




As the CRM Marketing Specialist, the focus of your position is building effective email campaigns, designing customer journeys and managing customer data.

What to expect:




Using your experience of CRM tools, you will deliver impactful email marketing campaigns geared towards engaging, retaining and converting subscribers. Your knowledge of email marketing best practice and grasp of the technical skills needed to build email templates will ensure a CRM marketing programme of the highest quality.



You'll be hands-on, strategic and collaborative - putting together one-off email campaigns and automated workflows in our email marketing tool for a range of brands, planning for the future and improving processes and customer experience at every stage.



The CRM Marketing Specialist supports the Growth Marketing Team to build audiences for email marketing campaigns, and you'll take ownership of the touchpoints along the customer journey to inspire and delight customers at every stage of their lifecycle. You'll be using analytical tools to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.



Equally comfortable handling the analysis of data as you are writing impeccable copy and developing digital assets, you'll be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Across the Subscriptions Studio colleagues have a shared responsibility to:

Be data and insight driven - injecting deeper audience data and insights into subscription management
Be customer journey focused - understanding the customer journey 'funnels', focusing marketing efforts for maximum growth impact
Understand our profit and loss - focus on margin growth in the same way as revenue growth
Encourage collaboration - work closely with the subscription team and the wider business to maximise audience opportunities and subscription revenue growth across our portfolio

Requirements



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES



Essential skills and experience:




The postholder should be able to demonstrate competence and previous experience in the following areas:

Using and getting the best from CRM tools / ESPs and related technologies
Delivering one-off and automated email campaigns geared towards conversion
Demonstrating excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
Managing customer data to the highest standard
Tracking and reporting email conversions, revenue and other key metrics
Using Google Analytics and similar tools at an advanced level
Confidently and accurately using Excel and similar tools to process data
Briefing designers efficiently and effectively
Planning and managing priorities and competing deadlines
Working autonomously and collaborating effectively

Desirable skills and experience:



Experience with HubSpot as a marketing tool; creating email templates and detailed workflows, setting up and monitoring reports, and creating forms and landing pages
Experience with, or working knowledge of, Google Analytics 4
Developing or editing communications and content using HTML
Using Creative Cloud (Photoshop) to edit and develop image assets

This is a full-time, temporary position (6-month fixed-term contract), working 35 hours per week. Candidates must be UK-based residents. If you are not based in the UK, your application will be disqualified. You will be working from home; however, you will be assigned a DC Thomson office location as your base if there is one near your home address.
