Ballard House Permanent 37 hours per week Grade J (\xc2\xa347,573 to \xc2\xa352,628) per annum

An opportunity has arisen for at Team Manager within Plymouth City Council Services for Children, Young People and Families. This post will provide leadership and support to a team of social workers who work with children to assess their needs in a timely way. To be the right person to join our vision for the future, you will be/have been a successful team manager in a children\xe2\x80\x99s social work setting. Alternatively you will be an advanced/senior practitioner with significant front line experience in delivering high quality assessments and care planning, and the ambition to develop yourself into an outstanding team manager.

We are a learning organisation so in either case, we will support your development and will sponsor you to attend the training you need to develop your skills. We have an outstanding training and development offer for our new managers, covering practice knowledge, technical/managerial skills, leadership and the provision of a personal mentor. This is available on request by e mailing SWChildren.Staffing@plymouth.gov.uk. We believe this will help ensure that you support practitioners to deliver excellence for children and families.
