Contract Details:


Type: Contract IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Rate: Negotiable Location: SCP, based out of Warrington (Hybrid working)
Role Purpose:


The CS&A CAD Designer will provide Lifecycle Engineering (LFE) input and ensure plant constraints are considered throughout the delivery process. The role involves supporting design and construction activities, managing technical queries, and ensuring compliance with design and construction standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide LFE and knowledge of plant constraints throughout the delivery process. Pre-approve Technical Queries (TQs) to allow site works to continue without delays. Produce Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) and feasibility reports to justify design decisions. Offer technical advice on-site to subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives, and feed information back to the design team. Assist in managing site activities and parts of construction projects. Support sign-off against construction orders. Oversee building work and ensure quality standards are met. Perform setting out, levelling, and surveying of the site. Ensure plans, drawings, and quantities are accurate for calculations. Manage design documents (drawings/specifications) supplied by the client and ensure correct installation on-site. Maintain configuration control of engineering deliverables and site works. Liaise with SL designers to ensure compliance with design and construction regulations. Report progress and updates back to the client. Plan work efficiently and adapt to setbacks or difficulties. Provide input and site-based knowledge for Design and Constructability Reviews.
Technical Skills:


Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D scanning software for transferring data from site to design team. Knowledge of plant constraints and constructability principles.
- RAD capability (Ferrus Scanning & Pull Testing) - desirable but not essential.
Training & Qualifications Required:


Academic: HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Plant knowledge and familiarity with site operations. FGMSP inducted, PFSP inducted, C3 trained. Respirator & PVC trained. Competent in using CIMAGE on SL systems.
Personal Attributes:


Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
