Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and responsible CSCS Gateman to oversee the entry and exit of personnel and vehicles at our construction site. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen sense of management to ensure the smooth operation of site access while maintaining safety protocols.

Duties

Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring that only authorised personnel and vehicles enter. Conduct regular checks on identification and permits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain a clear line of communication with site management regarding any issues or incidents that may arise. Assist in the maintenance of the gate area, ensuring it remains clean, organised, and safe for all users. Provide directions to visitors and contractors as necessary, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Report any suspicious activities or breaches of security to the appropriate authorities promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient site operations.

Requirements

Valid CSCS card is essential for this role. Strong management skills with the ability to oversee site access effectively. Experience in maintenance tasks is advantageous to ensure the upkeep of the gate area. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transportation needs on-site. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
