We're looking for a

Technical Co-Founder

to take on the

CTO role

, someone eager to build technology with purpose, create lasting impact, and help us disrupt one of London's largest and fastest-growing industries valued at over

20 billion

. This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup with strong foundations, a clear vision, and expansion plans across the UK, Europe, and the US.

This position will suit someone who has already built a stable professional or financial foundation and is now looking to dedicate part of their time toward building something of their own. It's ideal for someone ready to take a leadership role in a growing startup while maintaining flexibility in their current career.

What You'll Lead

Build the

MVP

covering 3-5 services with a mobile-first approach (React Native or Flutter). Develop our

admin & B2B portal

using Next.js. Architect the backend using

Node.js (NestJS)

or

Django REST

, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Integrate key systems including

Google Maps/Mapbox

,

Firebase

, and

Twilio

. Build core features: contractor onboarding, job scheduling, routing, availability management, notifications, payments, and analytics. Create the

technical roadmap

, set engineering standards, and oversee early technical hires. Ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability across multiple regions.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 3-5+ years as a senior full-stack developer or tech lead. Strong experience with:

React Native/Flutter

Next.js

,

Node.js or Django

,

PostgreSQL

,

AWS/GCP

, and third-party APIs. Hands-on experience building

marketplaces, SaaS platforms, or on-demand mobile apps

. Solid understanding of system architecture, automation, and scalable product design. Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working independently and at early-stage speed.

20 hours per week with full flexibility Remote or hybrid for the next 12 months -- open to candidates based in the UK, Europe, or the US
