The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate

Performing Arts Tutor

to lead and support Saturday morning sessions. You'll work with children aged 4-16 who have a range of learning disabilities, using drama, dance, music, and storytelling to build confidence, communication, and creativity.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging performing arts activities tailored to diverse learning needs Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment Use visual aids, movement, and sensory tools to aid understanding and expression Work collaboratively with assistants and carers Provide feedback and encouragement to students and families Help set up and tidy the space before/after sessions

Requirements

Background in performing arts (drama, dance, music, or related field) Creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching Excellent communication skills with both children and adults Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) First Aid training is a plus Experience working with children with learning disabilities is a plus (formal or informal)

Pay: From 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
