Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Culture Change Coordinator to lead the delivery of our Culture Change Plan for the Roads Maintenance and Operations Contract in North Lanarkshire. As the Roads Maintenance and Operations Contractor, HOCHTIEF Operations UK & Ireland will deliver improvements, maintenance work and investment across the roads, footpath and lighting networks and related infrastructure.

The project requires a Culture Change Coordinator to help the organization to transition to new ways of working and thinking, fostering positive and productive environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing initiatives that align with the organisation strategic goals, promoting desired behaviors, and ensuring a smooth cultural shift across all levels of the company.

Main Duties:

Creating and executing plans to improve organizational culture, often aligned with broader strategic objectives. Promote change behaviours by guiding employees through transitions by providing support, resources, and communication. Building relationships by establishing strong partnerships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and collaboration. Tracking progress, evaluating effectiveness of initiatives, and making adjustments as needed to measure impact. Supporting learning and development programs that align with the cultural transformation. Working towards a diverse and inclusive workplace, where all employees feel valued and empowered by ensuring inclusivity. Effectively communicating the vision, progress, and impact of culture change initiatives. Be responsible for regular monitoring and progress reports that demonstrate impact of contract culture change initiatives aligned to contract key performance indicators. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including North Lanarkshire Council, community groups, educational institutions, training providers and supply chain. Collaborate with other contract team departments to ensure the integration of culture change across all aspects of project delivery. Work with the supply chain to encourage and facilitate their involvement in culture change activities, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to culture change delivery and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of organisational development and change management principles. Must have proven business communications and change management experience in a complex, global project or programme within corporate environment. Experience of working in a matrix environment with a variety of cultural backgrounds. A recognised change management qualification or equivalent experience most desirable e.g. PROSCI//APMG. Experience developing and driving the successful delivery of multiple change plans (including resistance management). Experience in organisation design and/or in driving cultural/ behavioural change amongst diverse groups of people and cultures. Strong understanding of the change journey, people impact and ability to navigate this process when implementing a new way of working. Excellent communication skills with a good level of negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in complex, interdependent scenarios and situations. Experience as part of a team implementing a major programmes of change. Experience with project management approaches (Agile / Waterfall), tools and phases of the project lifecycle. A passion for driving operational and cultural change with a specific focus on delivering exceptional customer experience and results oriented approach. Self-starter with a team mentality comfortable in an environment that may require adaptable approaches to be successful. Minimum 5 years of experience in change management background.
