This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and innovative individual to lead a dynamic team within our English, Maths and Digital Skills departments. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering an ambitious curriculum that drives excellence in teaching, learning, and student achievement across these vital subject areas..




Working collaboratively with Heads of Departments, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support for staff, champion high-quality teaching and learning, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will also be instrumental in leading curriculum development and innovation to ensure our provision remains forward-thinking, inclusive, and aligned with industry and community needs.

The successful candidate will have:

.
Proven experience of teaching English, Maths, or Digital Skills in an FE or similar setting to Level 2 or above. Experience of curriculum planning, development, and quality assurance. Experience of leading teams and managing staff performance. A minimum Level 3 qualification in English, Maths, or a related subject. A full teaching qualification at Level 4 or above (Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent). A strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery in English, Maths, and Digital Skills. Excellent organisational, communication, and data analysis skills.

Desirable:

.
Experience managing cross-college projects or initiatives. Knowledge of digital learning platforms and blended delivery. IQA/Assessor qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
