Job Summary



We are seeking an organised and proactive

Customer Account Agent

to support the daily operations of our supply chain function. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement, inventory control, and supplier management activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. This role requires strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to maintain smooth and efficient supply chain processes within a precision engineering environment.

Duties



Manage the

customer orderbook

, including placement, tracking, and follow-up of customer purchase orders. Procure

materials and services

from approved suppliers, including the preparation, issuance, and monitoring of purchase orders. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and delivery. Maintain accurate

inventory records

and ensure stock levels are optimised to meet production demands. Work proactively as part of a team to ensure

on-time delivery

of customer orders and adherence to project timelines. Support senior supply chain staff in

coordinating cross-departmental initiatives

and continuous improvement activities. Build and sustain

strong, cooperative relationships

with customers and suppliers, ensuring clear and professional communication. Demonstrate strong

problem-solving skills

to address supply chain challenges effectively. Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities comply with

company policies

, procedures, and regulatory standards. Maintain all

Quality AS9100 documentation

to required

ISO/AS standards

. Collaborate closely with team members, providing support and oversight across all supply chain-related queries.

Skills



Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and customer liaison. Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance. Sound understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement and inventory control. Ability to problem-solve and work proactively within a team environment. Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO quality standards is advantageous. Previous experience in a

supply chain or procurement role

is desirable but not essential.

Role Details



Type:

Full-time, Permanent (39 hours per week)

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Friday:

8:00am - 1:00pm
