An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Direct Payment team which is being expanded as part of an ongoing improvement plan for Direct Payments at Sheffield City Council. We have 2 permanent positions available.





We are looking for conscientious, financially minded people who have excellent I.T and administrative skills. The role is primarily to financially monitor Direct Payment accounts, making sure a personal budget is spent in line with current legislation, as well as invoicing for the return of unspent monies. The role includes case management and requires a high level of attention to detail.





An important focus of the new Direct Payment team will be aiming to improve and streamline Direct Payment processes for both staff and people who use Direct Payment to arrange their own care and support. The team are regularly contacted with queries on Direct Payments and part of the team expansion will be to offer detailed advice and support to internal staff and external customers, ensuring the best outcomes and experience for all.





Therefore, this job role will involve engaging and working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple teams, as well as external stakeholders such as Managed Account Companies. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong team player, who can navigate complex queries.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
