Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Customer Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their inquiries, promoting products, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Multilingual or bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in a friendly manner. Provide information about products and services, effectively upselling where appropriate. Maintain an organised and visually appealing merchandising display to enhance the shopping experience. Utilise basic math skills to process transactions accurately. Manage time efficiently to ensure all customer interactions are handled promptly. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage. Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience with merchandising is desirable but not mandatory. A multilingual or bilingual background is highly valued, particularly in retail environments.
