JOB DESCRIPTION



Job Purpose



To assist in the smooth and flexible delivery of front line, operational, shopping centre services from the customer service touch points. Services will be delivered through the gift card scheme, the Shopmobility desk, the Management Suite Reception, Collect + and key promotions & events.

Duties & Responsibilities



The following is a list of your primary duties and responsibilities. Please remember that you are part of a larger CCS at Meadowhall team that the list below is not exhaustive, and we should therefore be willing to help and assist all our colleagues in other teams within the business at any time.

General customer service enquiries and courtesy services. Facilitate gift card sales Customer services, communication and teamwork - recognising that the public, retail tenants and colleagues are all customers Checking and assisting with the stock - deliveries, monitoring, auditing, display, sale and replenishment of gift cards, accessories, and refreshments. Monitoring and replenishment of general resources e.g., mall guides. At all times following procedures to minimise loss and ensure Health and Safety of self and others. Assist with processing and storage of customer Collect+ orders and returns. Following procedures to minimise loss and ensure the health and safety of self and others. Assisting with the delivery of specific reception services including the processing of lost property and follow all protocols whilst liaising with internal/external customers and stakeholders. Assisting in the setting-up and active participation in promotions and events, including moving equipment and assisting colleagues and customers. Monitoring of resources and equipment, responding to customer enquiries, booking in customers and moving equipment at the Shopmobility desk.

Communication and interpersonal skills



Liaise and communicate with line managers and other Customer Host on day to day operational matters. Inform the line manager of any problems arising.

Communication with customer and retailers if required for orientated questions and/or problems.

To answer all customer enquiries by telephone and in person.

Liaise with Security for lost children and other security related enquiries.

Liaise with Team Leader/Supervisors each day for desk requirements; inform same of any problems or operational difficulties.

Ability to communicate clearly and with confidence to customers, retailers and other team members. Ability to demonstrate customer centred behaviours including empathy, sensitivity, patience and respect.

Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Self-discipline and engaging qualities that show Meadowhall in the best light to stakeholders

Problem solving and decision making



Provide information to customers regarding all facilities, retail outlets and services within Meadowhall.

Manage shop mobility services including bookings, cancelations, Collect plus deliveries and collections.

Required to understand and apply departmental procedures and follow schedules.

Gift card issues, shop mobility and first line complaint handling.

Working Conditions



Work is ordinarily based within the centre with little outside work. Works carried out externally in a range of weather conditions, e.g., collect/deliver Shopmobility equipment, duties in accordance with events and promotions. May be required to undertake basic manual handling. The role will also require the ability to traverse mall areas, and occasionally external areas.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.63 per hour
