Cara Glass is a well-established and growing company specialising in high-quality window, door and conservatory installations for residential and commercial clients. Known for our reliable service and expert workmanship, we are looking to expand our core team, with a friendly, non pushy, knowledgeable, and customer-focused sales consultant.

As a Customer & Sales Consultant, working alongside our existing team, you will be a main point of contact for potential and existing domestic and commercial customers, guiding them through the process of selecting the right products for their needs, from initiation of request to the point of sale and beyond.

This is a non-commission-based role (although team KPI bonuses are available), with a strong emphasis on honest advice, product knowledge, and customer satisfaction rather than high-pressure selling.

Key Responsibilities of the role:



Engage with customers in person, over the phone, and via email and occasional letter to understand their needs. Provide clear, accurate, and competitive quotations based on customer requirements, show room and site visits Follow up on quotations in a timely and professional manner to assist customers in their decision-making process. Conduct site visits and surveys as needed to support accurate quoting and planning. Conduct showroom visits as needed to support customer's decision making. Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of enquiries, quotes, and follow-ups using our CRM system. Work closely with the operations and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from enquiry to completion. Attend ad-hoc training sessions and exhibitions to stay up to date on products and industry developments. At all times, represent the company in a professional, mature and approachable manner

Essential Skills & Experience:



Previous successful experience in a consultative sales role is essential, ideally within the glazing, home improvement, or construction industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. As a minimum, a basic technical knowledge of windows, doors, conservatory and building structures as well as installation regulations. Full clean UK driving licence and no pending convictions and willingness to travel to site visits. A friendly, honest, customer-first and non-pushy approach to partner with customers. Confident in using CRM systems and IT tools including Outlook and Word. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. We believe that a good sense of humour is essential to building strong teams; the ideal candidate should be able to share a laugh while also promoting a collaborative and professional atmosphere.
The role will directly report to the Business Manager and there will be a 3-month probationary period with the role.

Salary dependent on experience and professional knowledge (between 28,000 and 40,000 per annum for a 40-hour contract). The ideal candidate would have some flexibility of working 5 days a week to be able to work up to 2 in 4 Saturdays , depending on demand. Flexible hours during daylight hours would also be seen as an advantage (e.g.. The odd evening appointment in Summer) but the core working hours would be 8.30 until 5pm.
