Position Summary

We now have an exciting, permanent vacancy for a Sales Representative within our Timber Merchants. We're looking for a customer focused individual to become a key member of our friendly and supportive team. Previous experience in a customer facing environment and a good understanding of IT systems is desirable, but not essential, as we will support you all along the way with in-store training.

A day in the life of...

As a Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include:

Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner. Undertake all required training to help you to confidently select the correct product for our customers' needs and to promote our brand. Actively understand products and services provided Promoting products and upselling to customers Promoting new business and maintaining existing customers Proactively follow up on leads and customer enquiries Maintain a clean, organised and professional sales environment Social media co-ordinator Follow stock management procedures by taking in deliveries and keeping the shelves full. Maintaining/updating the website Any other duties as needed by the business

Key Skills...

Proven experience in sales, ideally within the timber, building, or construction industry Strong product knowledge (timber, fencing, sheet materials, etc.) or willingness to learn quickly Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a small team Good attention to detail and numeracy Competent using IT systems and point-of-sale software Flexibility towards working hours and duties Driving license in desirable but not essential For the right individual career advancement available
