Customer Service Administrator

Job Description

An established, family-run interiors business with a loyal customer base and a thriving retail showroom is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic customer service administrator to join their friendly team. This is a fast-paced and varied role supporting both sales and operations, with a strong focus on customer service and organisation.
26,000 - 30,000 DOE
Working hours Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, alternate Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm with a day off in the week, and some Bank Holidays
Full-time, permanent contract
Driving licence required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in the showroom, delivering a welcoming and professional service
Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person
Prepare and follow up on customer quotations with accuracy and efficiency
Process purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accurate records
Support daily administrative tasks including filing, post, and price list updates
Ensure the showroom remains tidy, clean, and presentable at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Monitor product stock, display updates, and assist with product information management
Contribute to daily cashing-up and other finance-related admin tasks
Take part in opening, locking-up, and showroom maintenance as required
Required Skills & Experience:
Excellent computer skills, confident using email, Word, Excel, and other office tools
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Friendly, bubbly, and professional customer-facing manner
Ability to prioritise tasks and stay focused in a busy, fast-moving environment
Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience in a similar customer service or admin role is desirable
Interest or experience in interiors, soft furnishings, or retail is a bonus (training provided)
