About the opportunity:
We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established UK manufacturer with a strong industry reputation. They are looking to appoint a Customer Service Advisor to join their supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a customer service or sales background who enjoys speaking with people, building relationships, and keeping operations running smoothly. Longer term, there is clear progression into a field sales role, making this an ideal step for someone who is ambitious and looking to grow their career.
Responsibilities:

• Handle all incoming calls and emails, answering queries and resolving customer concerns.
• Provide accurate quotations and process customer orders.
• Liaise with sales, production, and transport teams to ensure smooth order management and timely deliveries.
• Reactivate warm leads (no cold calling or new business development).
• Manage administration associated with orders and customer accounts.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and customer focus at all times.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in customer service or sales.
• Confidence in handling phone-based enquiries (email experience also valuable).
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sage system knowledge (preferred, but training can be provided).
• GCSE English & Maths (minimum C) - A Levels or degree preferred.
• Punctual and reliable - ready to answer the phones at 8am
