About the Role:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our busy Breakdown Control Room team. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two days are the same. You'll be the first point of contact for incoming breakdown calls, ensuring each job is handled efficiently, professionally, and with care.
The role involves coordinating roadside assistance, liaising with drivers, customers, police forces, and other key stakeholders, and ensuring all incidents are logged accurately and followed through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Log breakdowns and incidents accurately on the command and dispatch system.
Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and engineers to provide updates and instructions.
Liaise with police forces, highways authorities, and partner organisations as required.
Prioritise multiple tasks and incidents effectively to maintain high service levels.
Ensure all communications and actions are recorded in line with company policy.
Follow data protection and confidentiality procedures at all times.
Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment.

Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience in a control room, customer service, logistics, or transport operations role (preferred but not essential).
Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail with good IT/data entry abilities.
Calm, confident, and able to make quick decisions under pressure.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:
A clean Basic DBS record is required to pass police vetting for this role.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays (as required by the operation).
