Job Description

We are a leading UK-based safety footwear company dedicated to providing high-quality safety solutions for various industries since 1955. We're proud of our heritage, having manufactured the first leather fire boot to be tested to UK safety standards and continue to innovate with market leading products, including our primary brand, Tuffking. Due to continued international growth, we have just relocated to larger premises in Swindon and we are seeking an experienced, proactive Customer Services Advisor to join our team.

We are looking for someone with pure energy to give our customers the absolute highest level of customer service! The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers, delivering an outstanding service from throughout the order process, conveying technical product knowledge in simple terms and identifying opportunities to grow customer accounts. You can expect a balance of around 90% handling inbound orders and 10% making outbound calls to existing customers to inform the of new products that may suit their needs and help maximise revenue.

Your duties will include:

1. Customer Support:



Provide exceptional customer service through various channels, including phone, email, and online enquiries. Assist customers in selecting the appropriate safety footwear based on their requirements and industry standards. Resolve customer enquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.

2. Sales Order Processing:



Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using SAP Business One. Monitor order status and provide timely updates to customers. Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery Proactively inform customers about new product ranges and different options to maximise value from each account.

3. Product Knowledge:



Stay informed about the latest safety footwear products, industry trends, and safety regulations. Provide product information and guidance to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions, conveying technical details in simple terms.

4. Data Management:



Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in SAP Business One. Generate reports as needed for management and contribute to ongoing data improvement initiatives.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:



Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling and support with providing solutions for customers. Work closely with colleagues in logistics, warehouse, and finance to ensure a seamless customer experience. Take part in meetings as a team member and actively share experience, knowledge and solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, plus ideally familiarity with SAP Business One (training can be given) Good written English, shown by qualification in English Language at Level 2 or above Good level of numeracy, shown by qualification in Maths at Level 2 or above Strong verbal communication skills, including a friendly and professional telephone manner Ability to follow processes and contribute to process improvements Excellent customer service skills shown through experience in a customer facing role Ability to prioritise workload and handle interruptions Accuracy and attention to detail Experience in a sales administration or customer support role, ideally in a product-based company where you have needed to convey technical information in simple terms. Some sales experience is desirable (for example upselling, telephone sales) Team Player Proactive approach

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (with half hour lunch). This role will be based at our new site in Kembrey Park, which is easily accessible by public transport.
