We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor, who will be based at Barrow Town Hall, whilst working with the wider Customer Service Team to deliver a consistent service to all residents of the Westmorland and Furness area.



The successful candidate will be joining a friendly multi-skilled Customer Service Team who are passionate about providing top level customer service and supporting delivery of the Councils statutory obligations. The team resolve a significant proportion of customer queries at the first point of contact, providing accurate advice and guidance on a wide range of subjects, including Revenues and Benefits, Waste and Recycling and a variety of other general enquiries regarding Council Services.

The role requires excellent communication skills to engage appropriately with a wide range of customers both internally and externally, via telephone, email and face-to-face.



The ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining great attention to detail is essential to this role. You must also have the confidence to work proactively and independently, whilst also being a supportive and valued member of the team.
