Customer Service Advisor - Yard Operative


Location of Work:


Springfield Road Branch, Springfield Road, Belfast, HP12 7EH


Full-time: 41.5 hours per week. Flexible working hours/patterns will be considered.


Branch opening hours are: Mon - Thurs 06.30 - 17.00 Fri 07.30 - 16.00 Sat 08.00 - 12.00.


What is the role?

A Customer Service Assistant in one of our busy yards is a vital role of our branch as it ensures yard operations are carried out efficiently, effectively and above all else, safely, whilst encompassing our customer first culture.


Within this role you will predominately be working in an outdoor environment serving customers and operating a range of forklift trucks preparing and loading orders. Our Yard Operatives take pride in delivering a level of high quality customer service though excellent product knowledge and advice.


What will I be doing?

Responsible for personal and workplace health and safety and observe regulations in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act. Working independently and as part of the team to serve customers face to face, and to be the best merchant within your local community Preparing orders for collection & delivery and ensuring sales documentation is completed. Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift truck Making sure all goods inwards are checked and put away in the correct location. Maintain adequate branch stock levels and count accurately for/during stocktake.

An approachable and pleasant team player, with a passion for customer service Willingness and aptitude to learn and have a basic level of literacy and numeracy Proactive, can do attitude
