Job Description

The Customer Service and Tourist Information Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and providing visitors with comprehensive information about the local area, products, and SDX initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing visitor experience, promoting sales, and managing effective customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and provide support to staff at our makers market, ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery. Provide expert local tourist information and advice to visitors, enhancing their overall experience. Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, events, and services to inform visitors effectively. Oversee training programs that equip staff with excellent customer interaction skills. Collaborate closely with marketing teams to promote SDX locations, products, and social initiatives. Monitor customer and staff satisfaction through feedback and surveys, and implement improvements based on findings. Handle and resolve issues and promptly and effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in a customer service management role, preferably within tourism, retail, or hospitality sectors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly. Positive Attitude: Maintain and promote a positive and enthusiastic attitude, even in challenging situations. Your demeanour will set the tone for the team and influence customer satisfaction. Detailed knowledge of local tourism and cultural offerings. Experience in training and developing teams. Competent with standard office and CRM software systems.


Job Type: Part-time



Pay: 13.50 per hour



Expected hours: 1 day per week (Saturday 9.30am - 6.15pm)
