We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Customer Service Assistant to join our team at our Jamaican takeaway. The successful candidate will serve both in-store and online customers, assist with food preparation, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and serve customers in a polite and professional manner.
Take and process orders accurately (in-store, over the phone, and online platforms).
Handle payments and maintain accurate cash or POS records.
Ensure customers receive their orders promptly and correctly.
Food Preparation:
Assist in preparing Jamaican dishes and side items according to recipes and hygiene standards.
Portion and package takeaway orders.
Refill food stations and assist the chef as needed.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep the serving area, kitchen, and customer areas clean and organized.
Wash utensils, equipment, and surfaces following food safety regulations.
Take out rubbish and assist in closing and opening duties.
Teamwork and Compliance:
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience in food service or takeaway preferred but not essential (training provided).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic food hygiene knowledge (certificate is a plus).
Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
