To act pro-actively, ensuring all public and back of house areas of the site are safe and secure, protecting the property and people and meeting the high standards and specification set by the company. To react with an immediate and appropriate response to incidents and to ensure that Health, Safety and security standards are delivered and maintained.
Customer service desk duties, including answering telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information, logging visitors in and out via the visitors' book. Taking pride in your job delivering excellent customer service to visitors, tenants and colleagues.
Main Duties:
Liaise with the management to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the centre
To report any queries to management
Answering all calls/visitors to reception and dealing appropriately and in a welcoming and professional manner
Ensure all Health & Safety checks are carried out as requested by management
Accurately reporting all incidents, writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorised persons, requests for assistance or unusual occurrences
Responding to emergency situations as they arise, liaising with the emergency services, police, ambulance and fire service to resolve issues and maintain security and service, directing emergency vehicles and other traffic on site
Ensure deliveries, visitors and contractors are properly recorded on site and effective control takes place on access and egress
Log and store lost property in line with procedures
To undertake other miscellaneous duties relating to general service, as requested by management
Maintain positive working relationships with all tenants
Act as the first port of call for face to face customer/contractor/tenant queries that come into the management office
To develop sound local knowledge, so as to be able to respond to customers queries on the shopping centre events, local transport queries and local/community events
Ensure contractors are directed to the correct location for work permits and work enquiries
To maintain the standards of cleanliness on site at all times
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Basic competency with IT and technology
Working knowledge of entrepreneurial, fast paced retail/office environment
To be able to communicate with customers, colleagues and visitors fluently in English
Observant and able to complete accurate reports
To have a working knowledge of own Health and Safety responsibilities
Fire Marshall duties
First aid trained
