The
Customer Service Assistant
will be a key point of contact for our trade customers, consumers, and internal teams, providing first-class service and ensuring the efficient handling of orders, enquiries, and logistics coordination. The role demands an organised and proactive approach, a passion for customer care, and a team-player mindset that aligns with The Glenturret's values.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Order Management
: Process customer orders (UK and export) accurately and efficiently, liaising with warehouse and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
Customer Support
: Act as the first point of contact for trade and consumer enquiries, offering timely, friendly and solution-driven responses.
Logistics Coordination
: Support with domestic and international shipping paperwork, customs requirements and documentation, working closely with freight partners and the logistics team.
System & Data Management
: Maintain customer information in our systems (e.g. Sage, Hubspot etc), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Internal Liaison
: Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and finance teams to ensure customer expectations are met and internal processes are supported.
Continuous Improvement
: Identify and support opportunities to improve systems and processes that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Underbond and Duty-Paid Stock Management:
Accurately execute all stock movements within underbond and duty-paid areas, including booking stock in and out, fulfilling customer orders, and supporting regular stock takes.
Deliveries and Preparation:
Receive and check deliveries, ensuring accuracy of goods received, and prepare pallets for dispatch in line with operational requirements.
Cage Organisation:
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant stock cage, ensuring all stock is clearly labelled and easily accessible for audits and stock counts.
Brand Representation
: Reflect The Glenturret's values in every customer interaction, ensuring our brand reputation is upheld in every detail.
About you:
This role is suitable for someone who is energetic and enthusiastic with previous experience in a customer service, sales support or logistics coordination role, ideally within a premium/luxury product environment. Experience in the spirits or FMCG industry and knowledge of international shipping and export documentation is desirable.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential as is accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, even when under pressure, ensuring timely responses to requests.
Positive, proactive and calm under pressure you have the ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team as well as a natural alignment with our core values: Respect, Integrity, People, Teamwork, Success, and Accountability.
This role includes essential manual handling tasks that are a core requirement of the position. The postholder will be required to:
lift and carry boxes and materials;
move and handle stock across the distillery site;
perform these tasks on a regular basis as part of daily operations.
These physical duties form an intrinsic part of the role due to the operational nature of the distillery environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Sage and CRM platforms such as Hubspot is an advantage.
