Customer Service Assistant
Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Assistant in our off license shop. This is a front-facing role where you'll be the first point of contact for customers, so a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and serving customers in a polite and professional manner
Operating the till and handling cash and card transactions accurately
Checking IDs and ensuring alcohol and tobacco sales comply with legal requirements
Restocking shelves and maintaining shop displays
Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and well-organized
Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
Reporting any issues or suspicious activity to the manager
Requirements:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and honest
Must be 18+ (due to age-restricted product sales)
Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Work Location: In person
