Job Title: Sales Assistant -- Gift & Jewellery Department (Saturday)
Hours: Saturdays, 10:00am - 5:00pm (6.5hrs)

Contract: Part-time (Saturday only)

About the role

We are an independent department store with a strong reputation for quality products and friendly service. We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Gift and Jewellery Department on Saturdays.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys retail, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service at all times Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products Handle jewellery and gift items with care and attention to detail Process sales accurately through the till system and handle cash/card payments responsibly Maintain high standards of presentation within the department (stock display, cleanliness, merchandising) Assist with stock replenishment and checking deliveries as required Support the wider store team during busy periods
What we're looking for

Previous retail sales experience (essential) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive, friendly, and professional manner Reliable, punctual, and well-presented Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team An interest in gifts, jewellery, or fashion would be an advantage
