Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service and ensuring a smooth checkout process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a positive attitude to enhance the shopping experience. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, card payments, and refunds efficiently Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies to customers Upsell items where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities Maintain organised merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor remains tidy Manage customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalate when necessary Ensure adherence to health and safety standards within the store environment

Requirements

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Friendly phone etiquette for customer enquiries over the phone Experience in merchandising or retail is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customers effectively Organised, reliable, and able to work well within a team environment
