Roles & Responsibilities:
To be passionate about customer service, through providing an excellent level of service to our customers. Assist your establishment team to achieve its targets and to continuously deliver and maintain excellent standards through all aspects of our business. Protect and promote NAAFI and ensure our customers and colleagues have an enjoyable NAAFI Experience. Use integrity and respect at all times and in all aspect of your daily duties.

Serve and deal with customers in both our Cafe and mobile wagon in a proactive, courteous, friendly and helpful manner;
Responsible for maintaining the highest levels of personal hygiene, appearance and conduct;
Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety, and Food Safety standards are met, including, but not limited to, Manual handling;
Actively promote NAAFI and sales activity by proactively offering advice to customers and acting on their comments and suggestions in order to increase sales and our brand image;
Accept and accurately process payment for goods and food using a variety of methods;
Prepare and serve food and drinks in line with all Food Safety and HACCP requirements;
Check and replenish stock levels ensuring all legislation is met as well as NAAFI requirements on quality and presentation;
Proactively maintain the cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety of our premises and ensure the requirements of any cleaning rotas and schedules are completed;
Assist colleagues in the completion of outlet daily, weekly and monthly tasks as directed by the outlet schedules and line manager;
Requirement to carry out various driving duties as and when required. Ensuring all associated paperwork and checks are maintained accurately in an correct sequence for monthly audits.
Responsible for the security of the NAAFI wagon, its contents and cash handling at all times whilst on duty and must never leave the NAAFI wagon unattended whilst not secure.
Responsible for competing daily, weekly and monthly legal checks for the vehicle and demonstrate due diligence
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and safety of the vehicle and its fixtures and reporting any defects to manage
To undertake any reasonable request within the scope and grade of the role and to carry out other duties as reasonably requested by NAAFI for the needs of the business to enable delivery of service, including taking part in activities in the wider operational part of the business as and when required.
Requirements of the role of Customer Service Assistant:
Work flexibly throughout the week, including occasional weekends
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers
Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team
Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive
Food handling experience (preferred)
Cash handling and POS experience (preferred)
Good written and numerical skills
