We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Team at our Elmbridge Court office.
Key Responsibilities
Make (administrative) changes to existing agreements during the lifetime of the agreement updating applicable systems such as payment date changes.
Allocate payments to an agreement which have been received via bank transfer or taken over the telephone.
Deal with early settlement and similar customer requests, ensuring that company policy is maintained, and the necessary actions taken.
Contact customers to determine the reason for non-payment.
Undertake telephone income and expenditure assessments to help understand the customers financial situation including identifying vulnerable customers and those in financial difficulty, to ensure that the account is managed in the correct manner.
Be responsible for updating applicable systems with details of customer interactions.
Handle communications with customers by receiving and resolving queries via inbound correspondence and telephone calls, translating customer needs to a resolution whilst documenting and updating applicable systems.
Work with third parties such as debt collection agents and debt management companies, ensuring that Company procedure is followed.
This is a customer support role where the measure of success is the customer outcome and the efficiency in which the issues are dealt with and resolved.
Do You Have?
Minimum 1 years experience in collections or credit control.
Excellent telephone manner with experience of inbound and outbound call handling.
A robust personality combined with the ability to cope with a varied day.
The confidence to speak to customers on the telephone and have difficult conversations.
Excellent writing skills with good attention to detail.
Microsoft Office knowledge, and the ability to learn in-house computer system.
Experience of taking ownership of the customer experience and have a passion for delivering excellent service.
Familiarity with Consumer Credit and the Regulatory environment would be advantageous.
Highly numerate and a practical problem solver.
Willingness to go the extra mile when needed.
