As Customer Service Leader you will have management responsibility for the day-to-day activities of customer service representative team and will manage a variety of Parker Meggitt customer accounts to deliver world-class service and support. You will directly oversee score cards, immediately responding to inquiries, collaborating internally to prepare and deliver quotations, and joining with the planning team to accurately forecast demand. By utilising the Parker Meggitt High Performance System, you'll will serve as the primary interface for a variety of Parker Meggitt customers, responsible for ensuring the most efficient and positive relationship with Parker Meggitt's customers, while enabling level-loading of production and expeditious resolution of customer assertions.
In addition, you will support the Business Development manager on New Business opportunities as well as working closely with key internal stakeholders, driving a solid internal network relevant to the customers you'll support.
Core Responsibilities
Manage and oversee customer accounts across Parker Meggitt, particularly those with Long Term Arrangement (LTA) contracts as well as bespoke customers
Support the Customer Services Manager with Premier customer accounts and pricing opportunities
Support the Business Development Manager with new business and may support bid-related activities
Proactively identify and seek out opportunities to maximise base business opportunities; obsolescence, material changes, market intelligence
Oversee the preparation of costing sheets (considering hours/materials) and production of quotes for internal sign off
Ensure prices are accurate for customer orders such as miscellaneous repairs or spares quotes, including orders of significant value
Actively manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure the Customer Service team deliver appropriate responses to new customer requests which aligns to the business goals
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential:
Significant defence industry experience with an awareness of the regulations pertaining to the products and customers for which the employee is responsible (i.e., FAR, DFARS, DEFCONS, etc.)
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Ability to influence stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills
Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
Excellent customer service orientation
Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
Well-organised with strong prioritisation skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
Ability to visualise and plan objectives and goals strategically
Conflict management skills
Decision making skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
Knowledge of computerised information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications
Desirable:
Bachelor's Degree with industry experience
