Customer Service Advisor

The Opportunity
This is a fast-paced, varied role that sits at the heart of our operations. You'll be the first point of contact for customers -- managing inbound and outbound communication, booking appointments, and ensuring our engineers' schedules run smoothly.
This position is well-suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys engaging with customers over the phone, and takes pride in keeping everything running efficiently behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication
Make proactive outbound calls to schedule gas safety checks, services, and boiler care plan renewals
Follow up on quotes, enquiries, and care plan renewals
Handle incoming customer calls and email enquiries
Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service at all times
Keep customers informed about appointments, delays, or changes
Carry out post calls to ensure our customers received great service
Operational & Team Support
Answer inbound calls promptly and schedule servicing appointments efficiently, ensuring the diary is well-planned and optimised for engineer routes and workload
Make follow-up calls to customers who have received quotes, offering friendly assistance and helping them move forward with their booking where appropriate
Contact customers to renew care plans, ensuring a smooth and positive renewal process
Provide support across the business during busy periods, such as handling overflow calls or assisting other departments when phone lines are busy
Communicate with engineers as needed regarding job updates, appointment changes, or customer details to keep operations running smoothly
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, organised, and proactive -- a team player who enjoys speaking with customers and can stay composed in a busy environment especially when working from home.
Skills & Attributes:
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls each day
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude
Computer literate and quick to learn new systems
Previous experience in customer service, outbound calling, or operations support is preferred
Experience in the plumbing, gas, or home services industry is advantageous but not essential
