Job Description


Customer Service Telemarketing Fundraiser / Fundraising Executive with experience of working in a target and results driven telemarketing environment, and good knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases required by Guide Dogs.

Ideal candidates will have Call Centre, Customer Service, Sales or Marketing experience and a friendly and professional phone manner, although other sector experience will also be considered.

SALARY: Starting from \xc2\xa320,400 per annum

LOCATION: This is a national role where you will work from your nearest Guide Dog office at least 1 day per week, with the remainder of your week spent working from home.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 9am \xe2\x80\x93 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Customer Service Telemarketing Fundraiser / Fundraising Executive with experience of working in a target and results driven telemarketing environment, and good knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.

As the Customer Service Telemarketing Fundraiser / Fundraising Executive you will raise essential funds via outbound fundraising and /or admin calls to assist the organisation in achieving its targets for income generation, to enable its service to run for blind and partially sighted people.

Working as the Customer Service Telemarketing Fundraiser / Fundraising Executive you will achieve income generation and attrition whilst maintaining the best level of supporter satisfaction possible.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Customer Service Telemarketing Fundraiser / Fundraising Executive will include:

  • Make outbound fundraising calls to valued supporters and potential supporters, achieving both individual and team targets to maximise return on investment
  • Achieving income generation and attrition whilst maintaining the best level of supporter satisfaction possible
  • Remaining compliant and ensuring quality standards are met in line with industry legislation
  • To be the voice of the organisation across various campaigns and to passionately execute the vision, aim and purpose of the organisation to its supporters
  • Maintaining a quality service to supporters ensuring compliance and best practice in line with industry legislation
  • Provide and share feedback on campaigns to ensure that performance and income fulfils potential
  • Assist in training colleagues, contribute to the goals & overall strategic direction of the team
  • Assist the Telefundraising Manager and Supervisors on tasks as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential
  • 5 GCSE\xe2\x80\x99s including Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent (QCF level 2 / SQCF level 5)
  • Worked within a target driven environment
  • A proven track record and experience in a results-driven telemarketing environment and of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience of using databases
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Good at building rapport with the ability to recognise potential issues from supporter conversation and escalate for investigation
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable
  • Institute of fundraising qualifications and/or membership
  • Experience in the Charity sector
  • Experience of training colleagues
  • Ideally outbound call experience
  • Understanding of fundraising
  • Understand a multivariable environment (dials, response rates, contacts, duration of call, average gift) and how the combination of these variables will affect return on investment
