Rock Choir is the UK's favourite contemporary choir, based in Farnham, Surrey. Holding over 350 rehearsals weekly across the country, led by a team of professional musicians, we have pioneered the contemporary choir movement in the UK.

Currently with 30,000 members nationwide, Rock Choir is leading the market with our flexible and inclusive ethos. We are at an exciting stage in our development and are looking to upscale our operations to support our rapid growth in membership and greater public profile.

The Role:

With a large and growing membership, this full time position will focus on supporting the 'first response' team by answering telephone enquiries and emails from members, choir leaders and the public. This will be a hands-on role and will require the successful applicant to demonstrate a good telephone manner and attention to detail.

Working as part of the administrative support team, within a small friendly office, you will be a good team player, dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of service for choir members and leaders.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, the role responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Customer Service Responsibilities:

First line response by telephone and email to all members, choir leaders and the public. Supporting the accurate and efficient management of the member database. Sending communications to members as appropriate. Supporting Choir Leaders with resource requirements and information. To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with policies and procedures.
Rock Choir shop inventory and processing of orders.

Being the face of Rock Choir to visitors and callers, including welcoming and providing general support to visitors.

Managing the office incoming and outgoing post needs including the Rock Choir merchandise shop orders.
Skills and personal qualities required:

Pro-active self-starter, able to use own initiative.



Ability to prioritise, hitting deadlines and working well under pressure. Database and information management. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong team player. Good communication skills. Good sense of humour. Calm under pressure. Flexible and willing to adapt to different situations. Passionate about delivering great service.
A minimum of 2 years customer service experience working in a busy administrative environment is essential, as is an organised and confident telephone manner.

Knowledge of using Salesforce would be an advantage. More important is a keen eye for detail and adaptability.

Minimum qualification:

A-levels or equivalent
This is a full-time role attracting a salary of 25,000 pa. The role is office-based in Farnham, Surrey, with standard working hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm , Monday to Friday.

Job Type: Full-time - Maternity Cover - Temp to Possible Perm.
