Purpose of Role




The remit of the Geoscientist II is to provide technical support during the pre and post sales process for the RokDoc and Curate suite of software and to establish a 'trusted advisor' relationship with users in order to better provide proactive support and engagement.


Client interactions should be leveraged to better understand cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and to pass on these insights to the Business Development Manager.


The Geoscientist II will deliver on-site support &technical sales demos as required. Furthermore, the Geoscientist II will deliver software training as required to meet Client demand and requirements.





Key Responsibilities



Working on the generation and dissemination of all material related to the software products in the portfolio. Responsible for delivering high-quality presentations and software demos for all products in the Ikon portfolio, gathering client feedback to serve as input to software development prioritization. Provide expert advice/support throughout the region. Provide regional support to the Sales team in evangelizing the portfolio's software products to both internal services and external clients/prospects. Working with account managers to progress sales when needed. Responsible for nurturing and growing designated accounts. Full-time role and participating in client-facing meetings with a qualified outlook on possible software sales is a key priority. Reports to the Customer Success Manager (region). Leading software training. Works with minimum supervision and demonstrated proactiveness. This role will also deputise for the Customer Success Geoscientist I in time of absence. This role would be expected to travel for business approximately 50% of the time.

Key Accountability



Create and deliver technical presentations to clients. Providing on-site support to clients. Working with account managers to progress sales when needed Responsible for nurturing and growing designated accounts Answering client phone calls on the dedicated Support phone line when require. Mentoring of junior staff.

Experience



Previous knowledge of, or direct experience of drilling (mud logging/LWD/MWD), seismic acquisition/processing, rock physics, seismic interpretation, seismic inversion Experience in well planning through Pore pressure prediction & Geomechanics Experience in Geology & Geophysics software support considered desirable Ability to demonstrate extensive use of RokDoc software Use of Python coding language would be desirable Experience with cloud computing considered desirable Previous [regular] Salesforce usage would be advantageous Proficient in the use of Petrel software would be advantageous Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Experience in well planning through Pore pressure prediction & Geomechanic

Qualifications



Degree: B.S. in one of the following disciplines: Geology, Earth Sciences, Geophysics or Physics. M.S. or PhD in the same specialisms desirable.

Technical Competences



Attentiveness to detail & responsive to client needs. Able to generate new technical material suitable for client distribution. Excellent presentation skills (for training & client demos). Work with minimal supervision. Able to identify retention and growth opportunities.

Behaviour competence



Excellent communication skills, especially written (email). Proactive and problem-solving mindset with a bias to action. Ability to work in a small local team yet being part of a large global team. * Establish a trustable relationship with user and nurture accounts.
